The purpose of the International Conference on Physics Education, ICPE 2013 was to bring together people working in physics educational research and in physics education at all types of schools from the whole world to enable us to share and exchange our experience.

The conference took place in Prague, Czech Republic, August 05-09, 2013. More than three hundred participants (311, to be precise) from 55 countries presented eight keynote lectures, 171 oral talks in session, 15 workshops and 120 posters.

The conference was organized by The International Commission on Physics Education (Commission C14 of IUPAP), The European Physical Society Physics Educational Division (EPS PED) and The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague.
